What is survey research?

Survey research is the scientific process of measuring the opinions, attitudes and behaviour of consumers.

Researchers seek to determine consumer’s opinion regarding products, social issues, experiences with services and other topics.

This information is used to develop new products and improve services.

It is used by many different organisations ranging anywhere from health care providers, service businesses, financial institutions, publishers to product manufacturers.

Researchers are respectful of the participants’ right to privacy or choice not to participate.

Survey research companies never divulge a respondent’s identity, personal information or individual answers.

Why is survey research important?

Survey research is a critical tool that helps shape the products and services people want and need.

By taking part in survey research, you can anonymously express your opinion to facilitate this process.

Research participants help influence the type of products developed and the quality of customer service they receive, for example.

What is a “Respondent”?

A respondent is a person, like yourself, who has been asked to participate in a survey.

Who can join Forum24?

Anyone who has an e-mail address and access to the Internet. You must also reside within the Republic of South Africa and if you are a minor (under 18 years of age), you will need parental consent.

How does it work?

When you register you provide us with information that goes towards building your profile, which will determine the research projects that will suit your interests. When a suitable project becomes available we will e-mail you the link to the online survey.

What about privacy and spam?

We have taken a strong position on the issue of privacy and have an anti-spam policy. All your information and personal details will be kept strictly confidential and will not be passed onto a third party. Please see Terms & Conditions for further details.

When I joined Forum24, I did not received an email.

I haven’t received my 30 reward points for joining Forum24

You should receive registration questionnaire by email. You can also find it in survey dashboard when you login to your account using your email and password. After completing this survey 30 points should appear in your virtual wallet.

What if my personal details change?

You can change your details anytime in user settings and user profile by following these steps:

1) Login using your email and password
2) Navigating to the top right menu, last option “User”
3) When hovered menu will pop up, next pick “Edit account” to change basic account information
4) To change profiling data go to “Profile” in Top left menu. 
5) Check question categories and find questions you want to update

How do I change my e-mail address?

Your survey invitations will go to whichever e-mail address you
registered with. We cannot send it to another one as we do not have access to
panellists’ information for security and privacy reasons.

I have forgotten my password!

If you cannot remember your old password, you need to use reset function in Login form.

Go to login form in main page and press “Forgot your password?”. You will be asked to enter your registration email and initiate password reset procedure. You will receive reset link by email, once you press it, you’ll have to enter new password.

How do I redeem a prize?

Once you have logged-in, please navigate top left menu for “Rewards” tab.  Then click on the “Request” button of the relevant prize. You will receive email with voucher code and instruction how to use it. 

How many Points do I need before I can redeem a prize?

The number of points required depends on the prize you want to redeem. The minimum number of points required is 100.

How often will I receive survey invites?

You will receive an invitation to participate in our surveys when your profile matches our respondent criteria and when we have a survey available. This will take place intermittently.

How long does it take to accumulate Points?

This depends on how many invites your profile generates. On average, a survey will earn you between 10 – 100 Points. Remember that you can also earn Points by referring friends to Forum24.

The number of points required depends on the prize you want to redeem. The minimum number of points required is 100.

Please note that when you redeem a prize, points will be deducted from your balance. If you would like to claim a prize that is worth more than the points you currently have, you should rather wait and accumulate your points.
